Until now, Buddy has spent his entire life living in a small kennel outdoors but that did not crush his loving spirit. Although his experiences have been limited and he had no exposure to other dogs in his previous home, his foster mom says he is a very friendly, happy confident boy who gets along well with dogs of all sizes. Buddy’s new mom and dad are excited to introduce him to all the joys life has to offer a pampered, beloved pet.
Duke, aka the Farrah Fawcett of collies, has been adopted and will be living in Wisconsin. Four-year-old Duke was a beloved pet who was surrendered when his family realized that they couldn’t give him the attention that he deserved. After several meet-n-greets that just weren’t quite the right fit, we finally realized that Duke was already in the perfect spot with his foster family and they’ve made it official. Congratulations to Duke and his new family.
Sweet Carmel, a 12 year-old rough sable, has been adopted and will be living in Minnesota. She came to MWCR after she became lost, and someone picked her up and took her to the Humane Society. Her owner was very ill and his brother had been looking for a home for both his brother and Carmel. While they were gathering information for us about her, a good samaritan neighbor took her to be groomed, as her coat had become matted. The groomer ended up shaving her but her new mom has some cute sweaters for her so she’ll stay toasty warm . Since Carmel has had a lot of recent upsets in her life, as well as a few continuing health issues, we are thrilled that she will be able to permanently stay in her foster home to give her some stability. We’re so glad we were able to help this sweet and gentle girl.
