MWCR at community events

August Community Events

MWCR had a booth at the annual Dog Days Westonka in Mound, Minn. on August 12.  Our booth was next to Robert Photography and our collies were photographed frequently during the event.
Participating in the Pet Parade this year were Arnie Hilk with MWCR collies Tristan, Jackson, and Chase.  Thank you to Robin Kashuba with Harley and to Kitty and Arnie Hilk with Tristan, Jackson, Chase, and Sammi for sharing your gorgeous collies with the numerous visitors to our booth.  Nothing attracts people like five gorgeous collies laying in front of the booth.  Thank you to Judy Roggow for also helping staff the booth.  After the event, Kitty and Arnie hosted a barbecue at their nearby home where people and dogs had the chance to rest and take in the quiet beauty of their place. For pictures see August Photo Wall.
MWCR members had been looking forward to the Dog Days of Stockholm event in Stockholm, Wis.  However, the weather forecast for rain all day resulted in us reluctantly cancelling our participation.  We plan to be there next year.

MWCR Annual Dinner Meeting and Fundraiser on November 4

Our Annual Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 4, from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Wayzata American Legion in Wayzata, Minn.  Trainer Laska Parrow will give an entertaining presentation on keeping your collie happy – nontraditional activities to do with your dog.  We’ll have a delicious meal, a large silent auction, MWCR merchandise for sale, Gray Gables Farm goodies for people and dogs, door prizes, and lots of fun.  Watch for registration information in the coming weeks.
