The Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue Board of Directors would like to congratulate Marian Ridge and Matt Beckwith on their appointments as Directors for MWCR. They fill the vacancies created by Patty Hopkins who moved from Director to Treasurer following this year’s election and by Chris Norman who decided to step down after serving six years on the Board. Beth Selburg, who did not run for re-election as Treasurer due to professional work demands, decided not to remain on the Board as a Director at this time.
Marian and Matt have both been active with MWCR for a number of years, including transporting, fostering, and adopting dogs. Marian has provided valuable input on decisions involving foster dogs, their care, and their transfer to MWCR. Matt has a strong business and accounting background which will help guide MWCR as we continue to grow and evolve as an organization.
The Board wants to thank Beth and Chris for their years of valuable guidance to MWCR. Beth will continue to manage the tags and microchips for our foster dogs. Chris will continue to use her journalism background to write and manage MWCR’s newsletter and blog. Beth and Chris will continue to be ambassadors for MWCR at various community events throughout the year.
We greatly appreciate the work that Beth and Chris have done for MWCR as Board members and are pleased that they’ll continue to be involved with the organization. We want to congratulate Marian and Matt on their new roles with MWCR and thank them for taking on additional responsibilities within MWCR.
