Odie, a 3.5-year-old sable, has been adopted and will be living in Wisconsin. When Odie’s original owners retired to town, he stayed on their small farm with relatives but he didn’t understand “no harm, no fowl”. Unfortunately he was overly enthusiastic with some pet geese being raised for a 4H project and found himself banished to a life in town where he was kept outdoors on a tie out. Now Odie will have his own lovely backyard and a family who can give him lots of attention. His new mom and dad’s previous collie passed away earlier this year and I know Odie will help fill their home with collie joy again.
Sweet Maggie, a 7-year-old sable smoothie mix, has been adopted and will be living in Minnesota. Maggie’s family sadly surrendered her to MWCR because their lifestyle and home environment dramatically changed after the arrival of their first baby and a cross-country move. Now Maggie will be sharing a home with her new mom and dad and an English Shepherd sister – it’s always nice when your new place comes with a built-in playmate :-).
Teddy, a 9-year-old sable/white collie/sheltie mix, has been adopted and will be living in Iowa. This petite sweetheart was sadly surrendered to a shelter when his elderly Dad’s health problems meant that he could no longer care for him. Teddy was quite stressed in the shelter environment and was transferred to MWCR so that he could be in one of our foster homes. This turned out to be just the ticket for Teddy because his foster family fell in love and now they are his forever family. Beside his new mom and dad he will sharing his home with an MWCR alum brother. Congratulations Teddy Bear!
