This week (April 15), we have a ‘Foster to Forever’ adoption story – it doesn’t quite qualify as a ‘foster fail’ because they knew it was probably a permanent placement right away :-).
Handsome Luigi has been adopted and will be living in Minnesota. This 6-year-old sable/white boy was reluctantly surrendered by a loving owner whose living circumstances are changing. His personality is as beautiful as his looks – the classic combination of sensitive, gentle, friendly and kind. Although he had been with his previous family since he was eight weeks old as an only dog, he has quickly adapted life with canine siblings. A big thank you to his experienced foster parents for welcoming another MWCR collie into their lives.
Laddie, a 9-month-old sable/white, has been adopted and will be living in Minnesota. Laddie came to MWCR after he was surrendered to a shelter with a serious wound on his front leg. It involved most of his leg from the knee down and may have been caused by a chemical burn, but we don’t know for sure. Although it was probably quite painful and he had to have frequent bandage changes and care, Laddie still has his sweet, loving temperament. His foster family realized quickly what a special boy he is and have decided to make him an official member of their family. Congratulations to Laddie and a big thank you to his foster/forever home for taking such great care of him!
Handsome senior Snoopy, a 9-year-old sable/white male, has been adopted and will be living in Minnesota. Although he’s older, this big boy still approaches life with youthful vigor. Snoopy was reluctantly surrendered due to a change in living situation and his new mom and dad were happy to welcome him into their home. His adoptive family also includes his new BFF, an MWCR smoothie brother, and a kitty sibling, who’s relationship status is yet to be determined 😉
