Register now for the annual dinner meeting


MWCR’s Annual Dinner Meeting and Fundraiser is only a month away.  Once again, we will be gathering at the American Legion in Wayzata, Minn., from 3 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 1.  The American Legion is located at 949 Wayzata Blvd. E.  Here are a few highlights of the evening with more details to follow in subsequent emails.This fun event will provide people with an opportunity to visit with other dog lovers in a casual environment, hear an entertaining speaker, get an early start on holiday shopping by bidding on silent auction items and purchasing Gray Gables Farm goodies, and enjoy a delicious meal.  The Events/Fundraising Committee has planned a few surprises for attendees so that everyone will take home something to remember the evening.Our guest speaker this year is nationally-known animal legal expert Attorney Marshall Tanick of the Helmuth and Johnson law firm in Minneapolis.  Marshall has been a legal advisor to MWCR for many years and will share his tips for working with animal control should you ever have the misfortune of animal control visiting your home.  Marshall is a dynamic speaker who also will  answer other legal questions.

Donations for our Silent Auction are coming in.  We always have a large array of items that are generously donated to us.  If you’d like to donate an item to the Silent Auction, either bring it to the dinner or contact Terry at  The Silent Auction will include gift cards, Christmas items, a large popcorn popper, dog beds, a painting, a large movie basket, and wine.
